Choosing a projection screen

For the perfect audio-visual presentation, the choice of screen is critical. We can supply many different types of projection screen. In order to make the right choice, a number of factors are important.

We usually carry out a number of measurements on-site. Based on these, we are able to make a good comparison of the performance of the screens in a specific situation. Of course, human perception and value-for-money also play an important role in the choice of a screen.

Other criteria when choosing a screen:

  • What is to be projected: slides, videos, data?
  • Which projection system is to be used?
  • How big is the presentation area?
  • Can it be fully or partially darkened?
  • What is the seating arrangement?

The end-result of the screen – how good is the image? – is determined by the quality of the screen and the conditions under which the projection takes place. A small reduction in incident stray light usually means a big improvement in the projection. In a completely darkened environment, nearly all screens perform well.
